Tests on piping and fittings materials:

• Vitrified clay pipes tests include:
  • Crushing, chemical and absorption test.
• Ductile cast iron test include:
  • Workmanship (dimensions, tolerance, weights), tensile- elongation test, hardness and ductility.
• Un-plasticizer Poly-Vinyl-Chloride pipes (UPVC), workmanship (dimensions, tolerance, weights), physical test (density, specific gravity, length, variety), impact test, tensile properties of material, and loading test by two parallel plating.
• Inspection on plumbing work test:
  • hydrostatic test on potable network, and smoke test on drainage network.
• Potable and sanitary chemical tests:
  • Biological oxygen demand, chemical oxygen demand, total dissolved solids, nitrate and ammonia, PH, chlorides and sulphates, and bacteriological tests.
