• Conducting tests to determine the physical, chemical and mechanical properties on building materials … aggregates, cement, reinforced steel bricks, tiles, manufactured gypsum, wood lime, building stones.
• Design of concrete mix for a specified compressive strength.
• Testing of a pre-designed concrete mix with a specified admixture for the compressive strength.
• Testing of fresh concrete: Workability, determination of air content in fresh concrete, setting time for concrete, plastic shrinkage of concrete.
• Testing of hardened concrete: compressive strength, indirect tensile strength, flexural strength, bond, modulus of elasticity, permeability.
• Performance of concrete admixtures.
• Calibration tests on machines, hydraulic compression cells, dial ring and similar measuring devices either in the laboratory or in services sites.
• Destructive and non destructive on structural elements .. Schmidt hammer test, concrete core test, ultrasonic test on concrete and loading test.
