The training department is located at the second floor in the new building. It includes four lecture rooms each equipped with transparencies projector, data show, computer, TV, and VCR and a seating for 40 trainees. Also, there are rooms for speakers’ preparation and training administration. The training programs include the following areas:

Quality control for construction materials Analysis of building defects and methods of repair Building products industry and its development areas Heat insulation materials and energy conservation in buildings Seminars for introducing Egyptian codes such as:

• Egyptian code for soil mechanics and foundation engineering.
• Egyptian code for reinforced concrete.
• Egyptian code for sanitary installations.
• Egyptian code for loads and seismic effects.
• Egyptian code for engineering contracts.
• Egyptians code for electric installations and wiring in buildings.
• Egyptian code for elevators.
• Egyptian code for air-conditioning and ventilation.
• Egyptian code for steel structures and bridges.
